“You must activate S/O using Company Maintenance before this module can be accessed. Do you want to run Company Maintenance now?” message when trying to access any option in MAPADOC.
This is being caused because MAPADOC by default requires the S/O (Sales Order) module to be installed.
There are a few circumstances where the S/O module can be by-passed, for example if they are only using A/P and P/O module and/or they have modifications in MAPADOC to allow for this.
To get rid of the message:
Open Data File Display & Maintenance.
Open the SY_ActivationReq file.
Type E/CS/O in the Key field and hit tab.
It should take you to the record where ModuleCode$=”E/C”, DeveloperCode$=”254″, RequiredModuleCode$=”S/O” and RequiredDeveloperCode$=”000″.
Hit the Delete button and confirm the deletion.
Exit Data File Display & Maintenance.
The MAPADOC configuration should be updated with notes on this as these steps would need to be done any time MAPADOC is installed to the system (re-installed, new release install, or upgrade) as the install will add this record back.
Note that not all options within MAPADOC will function without the SO module and modifications may be necessary.
