940 – Warehouse Ship Order/945 – Warehouse Ship Advice

The 940/945 MAPADOC integration allows companies to communicate order and shipping information back and forth with their third-party logistics companies (3PL).

The 940 is used to send order information to the 3PL. 940 Mapping allows users to send any information that exists on the sales order to the 3PL, including User Defined Fields (UDFs). Once the 3PL receives the 940, they can pick and ship the orders. In some cases, the 3PL is responsible for sending the ASN (if required), but not always.

MAPADOC gives end users the flexibility to handle this. Once the 945 is sent from the 3PL containing all of the order shipping information, it is brought into MAPADOC. If the orders are for customers requiring an ASN, and the 3PL does not send the ASN, MAPADOC will import the 945s to the MAPADOC ASN files. The ASNs can then be sent and invoices created. If the orders are for customers who do not require an ASN, or the 3PL sends the ASN, MAPADOC will import the 945 information into Sales Order Invoices.

There is a new release for MAPADOC version 4.30 (4.30.23) & 4.40 (4.40.09). This release includes the following changes/fixes/additions:

08/02/2011 - New Cross Reference VI Jobs
A new VI Jobs folder has been added to the MAS90\EC directory that contains Visual Integer import jobs, sample files and instructions for importing to MAPADOC's item cross reference, ship to cross reference and UPC Code Maintenance.

07/29/2011 - Bulk Sales Order Change Utility – Terms Code field added
This option has been modified to add the Terms Code field as an available field to change. Users can select a valid Terms Code to assign to the sales orders that meet the selection criteria entered on the screen.

07/21/2011 - Picking Sheet Printing (MAPADOC version) – New Ship Date selection criteria
This option has been modified to add Ship Date as an available selection field.

06/23/2011 - Create Outbound Documents (Invoice Creation) – Tracking # Variable for Consolidated Invoices
This option has been modified to add the Tracking # variable for consolidated invoices. This variable will pull the tracking number from the first package or the first invoice assigned to the consolidated invoice.

06/09/2011 - ASN Mapping/Creation – NEW Variables
These options have been modified to add the following new variables. "Invoice Total Amt (Shipping D/E)" will return the invoice amount from Shipping Data Entry/Invoice History for the current order (to be used at order level). "Order Shipped Total Amt" will return the sum of all shipped quantities multiplied by the unit price for the current order (to be used at order level).

06/03/2011 - All Inbound Document Processing options – Warning for data truncation
All Inbound Document Processing options have been modified to add a warning exception if any data will be truncated due to the value being larger than the size of the field it is being mapped to.

05/26/2011 - Label Printing – NEW EAN Field
Label printing has been modified to add a new EAN_NO field that is populated from UPC Code Maintenance.

05/16/2011 - Bulk Sales Order Change Utility - Order Status field added.
This option has been modified to add the order status field as an available field to change. Users can select a valid order status (and hold reason optionally) to assign to the sales orders that meet the selection criteria entered on the screen.
